Is daily breakfast a new habit ? A big batch of homemade granola is a great way to make a new habit stick. It’s surprisingly easy to make and can last a couple of weeks. Hot oatmeal options are simple and can be made in 15 minutes or less. If those 15 minutes are too precious, make overnight oats in a mason jar and grab it on your way out the door in the morning.
If you have a regular breakfast “practice,” my goal is for you to find new and fun ideas here.
If you have children, bring them into breakfast practice. Invite them to participate in proposing options at a weekly menu planning session, setting the table the night before, and/or mixing the ingredients for pancakes on the weekend. Kids who participate meal making evolve into better and more adventurous eaters.
In this section you’ll find options ranging from oatmeal and grains, to baked breads and pancakes, smoothies and egg dishes. It’s a collage of my favorite recipes accumulated over many years.
Saturday or Sunday morning is a wonderful opportunity to make pancakes or muffins together as a couple or family. I always double the recipe and freeze leftovers to pop in the toaster on a busy week morning.
Give breakfast a try! Let me know how it goes. And check back from time to time as the recipe section is ever expanding.
